Promptwatch tracks a wide roster and writes content to lift it. Fama checks the answers against your verified record, remembers corrections, and writes the fix.
Promptwatch is an AI-visibility platform with real reach: it collects answers by reading the same AI interfaces your buyers use, tracks mentions, citations, and sentiment per model, logs the AI crawlers hitting your site, and runs a Content Agent that plans, writes, and publishes articles aimed at AI search to your CMS on a schedule. What it does not do yet is tell you whether the answers are true. Its own fact-check post, dated this September, says that capability isn’t live, and that when it ships the reference point will be your website. Fama asks that question today, and asks it of a record you verified rather than of your site. The free audit reads ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and Google AI Overviews with the same question set paid customers get, checks every claim they make against the facts you confirmed, holds on to each correction you approve, and drafts the FAQ, About, and product pages that correct what the engines got wrong. If you want tracking breadth and an autonomous content loop, Promptwatch earns its seat. If you need the answers checked for truth, not just counted, run the free Fama audit first.
Promptwatch competes with Fama, the AI-visibility arm of Jinn. The rest of the suite (Ghost, Vermeer, Chart, Silver, Agents) is not part of this comparison.
Updated October 10, 2026
Measures what AI engines tell your buyers, audits it against your verified Brand DNA record, and generates the corrected content. One arm of the Jinn suite; the free audit is the front door.
An AI-visibility platform for marketers and agencies: prompt tracking across a wide model registry, crawler and traffic analytics, and content agents that write and publish, sold from a $95 Essential tier up to a sales-led Enterprise tier.
Where the two actually differ
Contextual rows, not checkmarks. Every Promptwatch cell cites the Promptwatch page it was verified on, with the date. Every Fama cell quotes the same locked facts the Fama product pages ship.
| Fama (Jinn) | Promptwatch | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | AI-visibility measurement, audit, and fix in one loop, grounded in your verified Brand DNA. The full audit is the free front door. | In its own words, the AI visibility platform to monitor, rank, and grow your brand in AI search: it collects data by scraping the AI interfaces people use every day, then tracks visibility, citations, and sentiment model by model.[1] |
| Engines and platforms monitored | ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and Google AI Overviews, on every audit including the free one. The engine list is the same on free and paid. | A wide registry: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, Claude, Gemini, Meta Llama, DeepSeek, Grok, and the coding agents OpenCode and Claude Code. Its docs add Copilot and Alexa, and note that API models mostly answer from training data without live search. How many you get per plan is stated two ways on its own site, so we leave that number out.[1] |
| What grounds the read | A verified Brand DNA record: the read and the generated fix both trace to facts you confirmed, not to a style file. | A Brand Book that holds your name, domain, and aliases and defines what counts as a mention of you, plus a Knowledge Base, from the Professional tier, that its content agents search before drafting. Neither is a record its monitoring checks the answers against.[4] |
| Factual accuracy checking | Knowledge Check grades each engine field by field against your record, and a confirmed Correction is respected by every future audit and never re-flagged. | Not live. Its fact-check post says Promptwatch is building a capability that compares what AI says against what the brand’s own website supports, and that it isn’t live yet. The post also separates sentiment from accuracy, which is the right distinction.[2] |
| What happens to a correction | You confirm a falsehood once and give the real answer. Wrong and Misattributed claims are provable against your verified facts, and the confirmed correction carries into every later audit. | Not a stated feature. The Brand Book is the only brand record its docs describe, and edits to it apply to new response analysis only; already analyzed answers are not recalculated. Nothing on its pages describes a correction you confirm that later runs respect.[4] |
| Content generation | The audit ends in content: Playbook rewrites plus net-new FAQ, About, and product prose, with the JSON-LD and llms.txt that help engines parse you. | A real, autonomous loop: the Content Agent plans from your content gaps, drafts, routes through review or auto-publishes, and posts to Webflow, WordPress, or Framer on a schedule. Articles are metered per tier: none on Essential, 5 a month on Professional, 10 on Business. The drafts are grounded in the Brand Book and Knowledge Base you maintain, not in a record checked against what the engines say.[5] |
| What it reads about your site | Five instant checks in one verdict: robots.txt, llms.txt, sitemap, structured data, and whether an AI crawler can reach your key pages at all. | Deeper here: crawler logs that show which AI bots fetched which pages and what status they got, conversion tracking for AI-referred traffic, and Google Search Console import. This is Promptwatch’s side of the page.[1] |
| The free front door | The full audit is free with no card, every engine included, and the scored question set is byte-identical on free and paid, so the free number is the real number. | A free Explore plan that its docs say tracks ChatGPT only, and a 7-day free trial on the paid tiers. The full engine registry is a paid feature.[3] |
| Agent and MCP surface | A 33-tool MCP server over one JSON-RPC endpoint: agents can pull findings, add prompts, trigger audits, and hit a machine-readable cap denial at plan limits. | MCP and API access on every paid tier, plus an Agent Chat analyst and Unified Actions, its AI-generated GEO to-do list.[1] |
| Pricing shape | Free audit first with the full engine roster, then Starter $197, Growth $497, and Agency $2,997 a month. Each Jinn product is priced on its own. | Essential $95, Professional $245, and Business $579 a month for brands, metered by projects, prompts, and responses, with a separate agency tier set and a sales-led Enterprise tier. Annual billing is twelve months for the price of ten.[1] |
| Point tool or connected system | One arm of a connected system: the same Brand DNA record that grounds Fama also feeds every other Jinn product. | A standalone platform: tracking, analytics, content agents, and actions all live inside Promptwatch, on Promptwatch tracking data.[1] |
Bracketed numbers cite the dated Promptwatch sources at the foot of this page. Nothing here relies on a review-site or aggregator figure.
Tracking an answer is not checking it
Promptwatch will show you that ChatGPT mentioned you, cited you, and sounded positive. It will not tell you the answer was wrong, because, in its own words, that capability isn’t live yet. Fama grades every answer against the record you verified and ranks the falsehoods worst-first. This whole page is about which of those two questions you are paying to have answered.
Your website is not a verified record
When Promptwatch ships its fact-check, the stated reference point is your own website. A website is whatever your last redesign left on it, including the stale page nobody reconciled. A verified record is a set of facts you confirmed one by one, and a correction you make to it is kept. Fama checks against the second, and remembers.
Content that starts from the right facts
Promptwatch’s Content Agent is genuinely good at shipping pages on a schedule. Fama writes less and writes from the record: FAQ, About, and product prose grounded in the facts you verified, built to fix the specific claims the engines got wrong. Volume and accuracy are different jobs, and most teams need the second one first.
One arm of a connected record
The Brand DNA record Fama audits against is the same record Ghost writes from and Vermeer designs from. Fixing what AI says about you and staying consistent everywhere else are one motion, not two subscriptions.
What it costs, and who gets a seat
The grid names the pricing shape; this is the detail. Every Promptwatch figure was read off Promptwatch’s own pricing page and llms.txt on 2026-10-10. Every Fama line quotes the locked Fama pricing facts.
| Fama (Jinn) | Promptwatch | |
|---|---|---|
| How you pay | A flat monthly price per tier, with the full audit free first: Starter $197, Growth $497, Agency $2,997 a month. The price is the tier, not a count of heads. | Monthly tiers for brands at $95, $245, and $579, each with a 7-day free trial, and annual billing at twelve months for the price of ten. Agencies get their own tier set with unlimited prompts, and Enterprise is a demo and a quote.[1] |
| Seats and team size | Team workspaces, invites, and roles come with the paid tiers, and the published price stays the flat tier. Fama doesn’t publish a per-seat surcharge. | Seats are gated by tier: one on Essential, two on Professional, five on Business, and ten on the agency plans, with roles that give your team full access and each client view-only access to its own project.[7] |
| What each tier gates | Not the engines: the whole roster runs on every tier, including the free audit. Paid tiers add monitoring, custom tracked prompts, team workspaces, and the reporting line. | Volume is the gate: 1, 2, and 5 projects, 50, 150, and 350 prompts, and 6,000, 18,000, and 42,000 responses a month across Essential, Professional, and Business, where responses are models times prompts times runs. The Knowledge Base and the agency white-label portal sit on the higher tiers.[1] |
| Cheapest way to a full read | The free audit: every engine, no card, and the scored question set is byte-identical on free and paid, so the free number is the real number. | The free Explore plan, which per its docs tracks ChatGPT only, then the 7-day trial, then the $95 Essential tier with 50 prompts. The full registry across every model needs a paid plan.[3] |
Every Promptwatch price, seat, and cap here is Promptwatch’s own published number, checked on 2026-10-10. Where its pricing page and its llms.txt disagree (article counts, the brand count, models per plan) we use the live pricing page or leave the figure unstated rather than guess. Promptwatch bills in USD or EUR; the dollar tiers shown match its USD pricing page.
Fama is just the start.
Fama is one arm of Jinn, and every arm reads from the same verified Brand DNA record. The record that grounds this audit is the record Ghost writes from, Vermeer designs from, and Chart strategizes from. You confirm your brand once, and every product you switch on next compounds that same record instead of starting from a blank prompt.
One record, every product
The verified Brand DNA that Fama audits against is the exact record the rest of the suite builds on. Confirm it once and it’s right everywhere, not re-entered per tool.
Each arm sharpens the next
Every correction you confirm and every fact you add deepens the one record, so the next product you turn on starts from everything the last one already learned.
Priced arm by arm
There’s no bundle you have to buy. Each Jinn product is priced on its own, so you start with the free Fama audit and add the next arm when it earns its place.
Where Promptwatch is genuinely stronger
An honest comparison names where the other side wins. Three places, all verified today on Promptwatch’s own pages.
A wide tracking surface
Promptwatch tracks a model registry that runs from ChatGPT and AI Overviews through Claude, Gemini, Llama, DeepSeek, and Grok to the coding agents OpenCode and Claude Code, with AI Mode and Copilot in its docs, plus crawler logs, AI-referred conversion tracking, Reddit and YouTube citation sources, and ChatGPT ads and shopping insights. If the job is seeing every surface your brand appears on, it sees more of them. Fama runs ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and Google AI Overviews, and spends its depth on whether the answer is true.[1]
An autonomous content loop into your CMS
The Content Agent plans from your gap backlog, drafts, reviews or auto-publishes, posts to Webflow, WordPress, or Framer, and then tracks whether the new page earns citations. That is a complete, scheduled loop Fama does not run. Fama writes the fix from your verified record and hands it to you; publishing cadence is yours to set.[5]
Built for agencies from the roles up
Promptwatch’s team structure gives your own people full access and each client view-only access to its project, and its agency tiers add unlimited prompts, ten seats, and a white-label dashboard and client portal. Fama’s Agency tier is one flat price with team workspaces and roles, and the free audit is the same for every client you run it on.[8]
The questions that decide it
- Is Fama a replacement for Promptwatch, or something different?
- Overlapping jobs, different centers of gravity. Both read what AI engines say about a brand. Promptwatch is an AI-visibility and GEO platform optimized for tracking breadth, site analytics, and an autonomous content loop. Fama is the AI-visibility arm of Jinn: it audits engine answers against a verified record of your brand, keeps your corrections, and generates the fix from that record. Teams replacing a tracking dashboard compare them head to head; teams that need the answer checked for accuracy are choosing what Fama does.
- Doesn’t Promptwatch fact-check AI answers too?
- Not yet, by its own account. Its fact-check post from September 2026 describes a capability Promptwatch is building that compares AI answers against what your website supports, and says it isn’t live. When it ships, the reference point is your website. Fama checks against a record you verified fact by fact, and a correction you confirm is kept and respected by every later audit.
- Does Fama monitor the same AI engines Promptwatch does?
- Fewer. Promptwatch tracks a wider registry, including the coding agents. Fama runs ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and Google AI Overviews on every audit, including the free one, and grades what each engine says against your verified record.
- Can Fama’s score be gamed the way visibility metrics can?
- No. Brand IQ is a pure function of how prominently engines mention your brand, computed by a documented rules pass. A pinned test runs the score with and without your confirmed corrections and asserts a byte-identical number, and the scored question set is the same on free and paid. There’s no lever to buy, including from us.
- What does it cost to find out where I stand?
- With Fama, nothing: the full audit is free with no card, and paid tiers start at $197 a month. With Promptwatch, entry is a free Explore plan that per its docs tracks ChatGPT only, then a 7-day trial, then $95 a month for Essential with 50 prompts; Professional is $245 and Business is $579 a month.

Right now, AI is answering questions about your brand.
While you read this, ChatGPT, Claude, and the rest of the engine roster are telling your buyers what you do, and some of it is wrong. Promptwatch will show you where you were mentioned and how it sounded. The free Fama audit reads every one of them, checks the answers against the record you verified, shows you exactly what they get wrong, and hands you the fix. No card, nothing to install.
