Share of voice in AI answers is your slice of the answers engines give in your category, measured against your competitors. Not whether you appear at all, but how much of the conversation engines are having about your category is about you versus everyone else.
Why it matters
In a list of links, share of voice was about ranking. In a composed answer it is about who gets named and cited when the engine speaks for the whole category, and there is far less room at the top.
Your own presence only tells half the story. The other half is who is taking the space you are not: which rivals the engines reach for when they answer the questions you want to own.
Seen together, it turns a vague worry into a ranking. You can see the competitors winning the answers you are losing, and how far ahead they are.
How Jinn treats it
Fama looks at the questions in your category where the engines answer, and ranks the competitors they name and cite instead of you. Each rival is scored by how many of those answers it wins and how broadly across the engines.
The result is your standing as a leaderboard, not a single number: who the engines are naming, who they are citing, and where you sit against them. Earned media, like press and retailers, is kept distinct from true rivals so the picture is not muddied.
