A voice profile is the style half of a brand's record: how it writes, not what it writes about. Cadence, sentence rhythm, register, the words it reaches for and the ones it never uses, measured from real writing rather than described in adjectives.
Why it matters
Most brand voice lives as a line of adjectives, professional yet approachable, and that is useless to a machine and honestly to a person too. It cannot tell a generator what to actually do.
A voice profile is the opposite: specific and measured. Short average sentences, opens cold with a statement, never reaches for corporate jargon. That is something a system can write from and a person can recognize as theirs.
It also has to hold up if the brand writes about something new tomorrow. Voice is how you sound, not the topics you covered last week, so the two have to be kept apart or the profile just parrots old subjects.
How Jinn treats it
Jinn builds the profile in two passes. The first catalogs what the samples are about and keeps only claims quoted verbatim from the source. The second analyzes how the writing works, with those topics held out as an exclusion list so subject matter cannot leak into the style.
Measured metrics computed straight from the text, sentence length, rhythm, punctuation habits, are treated as ground truth the model cannot contradict, and a final pass scrubs any topic words that slipped into the style vocabulary.
