AEO

Definition

AEO, answer engine optimization, is the practice of shaping your content and facts so an answer engine picks you when it responds to a question directly. It is the query-shaped cousin of GEO, and the two names are used almost interchangeably.

Why it matters

The label points at a real shift: people increasingly get an answer, not a page of links, and the question is whether that answer is built from you. AEO leans on the query side of that, the actual questions being asked, where GEO leans on the content side.

The honest caveat is the same one GEO carries. It is a young, contested category, and plenty of what gets sold under the name is guesswork dressed up as method.

The durable part is not a trick. It is making your answers structurally liftable and your facts checkable, so an engine can quote you without having to guess.

How Jinn treats it

Jinn does not sell AEO as a growth hack any more than it sells GEO as one. The two are the same underlying work seen from two sides: the questions customers ask, and the content and facts that answer them.

Our answer is grounding, not a bag of tactics. Model the brand as a record an engine can verify, structure the content so it lifts cleanly, and the citations follow because there is something real to cite.
